Irene Chamberlin Parker, our loving wife, mother and grandmother, returned to her Heavenly Family on May 16, 1998.
She was born February 13, 1929 in Ogden, Utah, the cherished daughter of James and Irene Simons Chamberlin.Irene married Robert Vern Parker for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 1, 1948.
She graduated from Weber State with a Bachelor of Arts degree, enjoyed teaching fourth graders, served as an officer for the Utah Quilt Guild for many years. As a member of the LDS Church she served in all organizations.
She enjoyed traveling, handiwork, and sharing her many talents by helping others develop their talents. She exhibited artistry and perfectionism in her work characteristic of her life. Her friends and peers praised her talents.
Surviving are her sweetheart, Robert; her daughter, Shelley (Walt) Eddy, Layton; son, Chris (Lori) Parker, Layton; daughter, Joy Vanderstappen, Ogden; son, Norman (Susan) Parker, Layton; and grandchidren, Amy, Mike, Kiele, Brent, Christie, Stacie, Jony, Tanya, Ty, Marisha, Derick and Ryan. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert (Bob) Chamberlin, Reno; James (Jim) Chamberlin, North Ogden; and three sisters, Jean Drumiler, Bountiful; Muriel Preschon, South Jordan; Frances Miller, Ogden.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday , May 20, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Rd., with Bishop Stuart Adams officiating. Viewing will be Tuesday, May 19, 1998 from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
