June travelers to the Children's Museum in Washington, D.C., can take in the artwork of sixth-grader Lindsey Kauffman from Cedar Ridge Elementary School.

Her poster, "Saving for a Rainy Day," is the state winner in the U.S. Savings Bonds Poster Contest, sponsored by Smith's Food & Drug Centers, Inc. The Alpine School District student won $1,000 in savings bonds and moves onto national judging, where the winner will receive a $5,000 savings bond.Kauffman's poster features animals entering Noah's Ark in pairs with U.S. Savings Bonds in their mouths.
