Howard A. Jorgensen, a partner in the advertising firm of Barker and Jorgensen for 33 years and a former producer and director of network television shows will receive a silver medal during the Utah Advertising Federation luncheon at noon Wednesday, May 20, in the Little America Hotel.

Jorgensen was an associate producer of NBC's Jonathan Winters Show, ABC's Firestone Hour, CBS' Stan Kenton Show and other national television and radio programs.He returned to Salt Lake City from New York in 1959 and was a director for KUTV news and sports, spent a year with KWIC Radio, became general manager of KDYL Radio, national sales manager of KCPX-TV and then was a partner in the advertising firm.

He has been president of the Utah Broadcasters Association, chairman of Ballet West, president of the University of Utah Alumni Association, campaign promotion director for the United Way of Greater Salt Lake and president of the board for the Utah Museum of Natural History.
