The AIDS Foundation's 10th annual Walk for Life will be held Saturday, June 20, at the Salt Lake City-County Building, 400 South and State Street.
The walk is a 10K pledge walk fund-raiser. Each year about 1,300 walkers collect pledges from family, friends and co-workers and raise about $140,000.All proceeds benefit the Utah AIDS Foundation's client services and prevention education programs.
Walkers can register Thursday and Friday, June 18 and 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Utah Aids Foundation, 1408 S. 1100 East, or at the City-County Building beginning at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the race.
While walkers register, there will be free bagels, coffee and juice, then a quick warm-up sponsored by the Anatomy Academy. The walk begins at 9 a.m. Volunteer musicians are donating their time to provide entertainment along the route.
The NAMES Project Quilt will be displayed in the morning.
