Four experts will debate the petroleum industry's effect on global warming at the annual meeting of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. The meeting will be in Room 150 at the Salt Palace on Sunday from noon until 3 p.m.

Discussions will center around the extent of global warming and the petroleum industry's response to new regulations.Scientists on the panel are Richard S. Lindzen, Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor of meteorology; and Michael MacCracken, director at the National Assessment Coordination Office.

Petroleum industry executives David A. L. Jenkins, British Petroleum; and M.B. Mick, Marathon Oil, will also be on the panel.
