Michael Jackson has announced plans to headline a concert to benefit families in famine-torn North Korea.

The Oct. 11 concert in Seoul, South Korea, will include performances by Luciano Pavarotti, among other artists, and benefit the Korean arm of the World Peace Foundation for Children, an international philanthropic venture Jackson is developing."It is my sincere hope that we can bring an end to famine in this troubled part of the world," Jackson said at a news conference in Beverly Hills.
