I wish to thank Rosemary G. Minervini, a registered dental hygenist, for her very excellent, informative letter of May 7 opposing the fluoridation of our municipal water supply. I also read the editorial supporting fluoridation of our municipal water supply and suggesting that the residents of the Salt Lake Valley be allowed to vote for or against it in November. The residents of the Salt Lake Valley have voted against fluoridation several times in past years. We do not believe in mass medication. The majority have rejected it time after time. Those who want fluoride can get it from their dentist, in toothpaste, etc. What part of "no"' don't you people who keep trying to force it on us understand?
Yes, Utah is an anomaly compared to other states, and how refreshing it is to know that we can think for ourselves and do not find it necessary to follow others like a flock of sheep.M.N. Chambers
