Dr. Gerald G. Krueger, professor of dermatology at the University of Utah School of Medicine, was named the 1998 recipient of the American Skin Association's Psoriasis Research Award. He received the honor, which included a $5,000 prize, at an international conference in Germany.

Krueger was cited for his ongoing studies of the pathogenesis and treatment of psoriasis and for his leading advisory role to the National Psoriasis Foundation.He joined the U. faculty in 1972 and served as chief of the dermatology division from 1972 to 1987. He received the Taub International Award for Psoriasis Research in 1984 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Psoriasis Foundation in 1993.
