Police will set up a DUI checkpoint Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. somewhere within the city limits.

Police will not release the exact location of the checkpoint, West Valley Police Lt. Charles Illsley said. But it could be any one of 36 approved checkpoint intersections.Previous checkpoints have been set up at 3300 South and 1000 West, Ills-ley said. This will be the third time since January that West Valley City has used the checkpoints to catch drivers who have been drinking.

At the last checkpoint, 557 cars passed through the checkpoint, with 120 of those stopped. Sixty-two drivers were cited, eight vehicles were impounded and two people were booked into jail, Illsley said.
