Garth Brooks' favor turned into a labor of love.
Brooks and other singers came together to record a song to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. "Very few times does the music get to do what I think God intended it for," Brooks said after taping the song and a music video in Los Angeles. While recording "One Heart at a Time," written by his Grammy Award-winning friend Victoria Shaw, Brooks was introduced to Charlie Coffey, a 5-year-old with cystic fibrosis.
"I came here to do a friend (Shaw) a favor and I'm leaving here having the favor done to me because I got to meet Charlie," Brooks said.
Brooks, Bryan White, Faith Hill, Neal McCoy, Billy Dean, Olivia Newton-John and Michael McDonald recorded "One Heart at a Time," which will go on sale Tuesday.
