Paul A. Hjorth, 76, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father, Friday, May 8, 1998.
He was born February 2, 1922 in Springville, Utah to Otis and Velma Miner Hjorth. He married Mamie McAllister in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 8, 1946.Paul lived his early years in Springville, graduating from Springville High. He attended Weber College and worked at Hill Air Force Base. He served in the Naby during World War II. After the War, he returned to Springville, attended BYU and Provo Tech, where he also taught. He worked in a business with his brothers and later self-employed as a plumbing and heating contractor.
Paul was active in the LDS church and served as a temple worker in the Provo Temple. He especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren expecially when they were babies.
He is survived by his wife, Mamie; sons; Alan (sharon), Gary (Linda), Duane (Kathy), Lynn (Libby), Arden (Terri), Lee (Starlyn); 19 Grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters; Hugh (Erma) Hjorth, Carlos (Louise) Hjorth, Anna (Richard) Pexton, Floriece (Ted) Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Miller.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at 11 AM n the Kolob 2nd Ward Chapel, 451 South Main, Springville, UT. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, or Tuesday morning one hour prior to services at the church. Burial in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
