The city of Orem will host a budget open house for all interested citizens, from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, at the Orem Senior Friendship Center, 93 N. 400 East.

Residents are invited to learn more about the city's financial system as well as the budget issues currently before the City Council. These issues include: a new Public Safety Building, citywide street lighting, sewer fees, a full-time mayor's salary and funding for a city-owned golf course.The City Council is scheduled to adopt the fiscal year 1998-99 budget following a public hearing on Tuesday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, 56 N. State St.
