Araminta Elizabeth Lee Hayes passed away May 7, 1998, in Murray, Utah.
She was born April 9, 1899, in Austin, Utah, to Ernest Sylvester Lee and Frances Elizabeth Foreman Lee. She married Isaac Rosendo Hayes on June 23, 1917, in Manti, Utah, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Isaac passed away on October 10, 1962.She was a member of the LDS Church and a life member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, a Licensed Practical Nurse, an avid gardener and lover of flowers, a genealogist and researcher. She decorated floats for events in Utah County and presented many book reviews.
Survived by her children, Ina Claire Carter, Ogden, Utah; Lee (Martha) Hayes, Murray, Utah; Helen H. Neilson, Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Cathie Anne (Reese) Bastian, Mapleton, Utah; Sheila Jean (John) Dumbauld, sacramento, California; Ina Claire Murdo, Seaside, California; Denice (Fred) Skrepcinski, Edgewood, New Mexico; Martha Lee "Marty" (John) Biesmann, Erfstadt-Bliesheim, Germany; Julie Lee (Melvin) Jeffery, Houston, Texas; David (Deana) Neilson, Palo Alto, California. Also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Orson P. Lee, and two sisters, Arbella Hafner and Ochella Haslam.
Friends and family may call at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple) on Monday, May 11, from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 12:30 p.m., at the Pleaseant Grove City Cemetery (500 North, 100 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah)
