Our loving husband, dad, and grandpa, Ned Christiansen, age 85 of Lehi, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo.

He was born Jan. 25, 1913 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to Niels Peter and Matilda Stagg Christiansen. He married Melba Street on Dec. 17, 1937 in Salt Lake City. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Jan. 21, 1963.Ned was a member of the LDS Church where he was a High Priest. He loved the desert, outdoors, working with Mustangs, motorcycling, and the Ibapah Ranch. He was good with metal and could make anything anybody needed, and was very creative in making ranch toys. He had a great love for the youth, but his greatest love was his family.

Survived by his wife of Lehi; five children, Gene (Robyn) Christiansen, Sandy; Colleen (Doug) Hawkins, Jay (Joan) Christiansen, both of Lehi; Shirley (Allan) Gray, Lindon; Jolene (Scott) Sherwood, Highland; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Christiansen, Ely, NV.; sister, Betty (Reed) Mathews, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by 7 brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at 11 a.m. in the Lehi North Stake Center, 851 N. 1200 East, Lehi. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, Monday evening 6-8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
