The American Civil Liberties Union will honor three individuals and an organization at its annual Bill of Rights dinner Saturday night.

Associated Press reporter Mike Carter will receive the ACLU's Cliff Cheney Memorial Journalism Award for a series of articles on use of a restraint device at the Utah State Prison and other Department of Corrections issues.Attorneys A. Howard Lundgren and Jeffrey R. Oritt will be presented the Adam M. (Mickey) Duncan Award for their successful challenge of Utah's abortion law.

Justice, Economic Dignity and Independence (JEDI) for Women will receive the Renie Cohen Memorial Award for its advocacy on behalf of low income women and children.

The dinner will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Doubletree Hotel, 255 S. West Temple.
