A 24-year-old man was injured when his motorcycle collided with a car Monday. The impact threw him about 30 feet, police said.

Paramedics airlifted Craig Perkins, West Valley City, to LDS Hospital after the 6:30 p.m. crash, West Valley Police Lt. Lynn Hanson said. He remained in critical condition Wednesday.Perkins was heading west on 4100 South and about 4400 West, Hanson said. He was riding in the right lane, which was closed for road construction. A car traveling beside the man made a right turn on 4400 West and collided with the motorcycle.

The man rolled over the car and landed about 30 feet away in the intersection, Hanson said.

The car hit another car in the intersection that was waiting to make a left turn onto 4400 West. The second car left the scene, Hanson added.
