After three years and ten very lonely months, Mom and Dad were finally reunited with the death of our mother, Edna Marsh Pitt on May 5, 1998.
Mom was born to Oscar Edward Marsh and Ann Francis Haynes on September 11, 1915 in Tooele, Utah. She attended school and spent most of her life in Tooele. She was very proud and spoke often of her pioneer heritage. She retired from the Tooele Army Depot. Mom and Dad were married September 11, 1933 in Tooele, Utah. They were married for 61 years before the death of her husband, Byron C. Pitt on July 3, 1994. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.She was the mother of three children; Joan (Dan) Hill, Bill (Lorraine) Pitt, and Dick (Dorothy) Pitt, all of Tooele. Mom is survived by her three children; nine grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol (Chuck) Nelson, of Salt Lake City; and one brother, Jerry (Lova) Marsh, of Washington; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron; parents; and two brothers; and one sister.
Service will be held on Friday May 8, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Tate Mortuary Chapel, 110 So. Main St., Tooele; where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
