We deeply mourn the passing of our beloved father, uncle, brother and friend, William Walter Phipps, age 34, who passed away May 4, 1998, in Fountain Green, due to complications of Juvenile Diabetes.
William Walter was born February 19, 1964, in Spokane Washington, the son of Thomas Edison and Ivy Anita Otteson Phipps. William will be lovingly remembered and missed for his gentle spirit, his love for children, his keen mind and his quick wit. He was a member of the LDS Church. William was a kind and loving individual who was respected and admired by all who knew him. His passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Desiree Rose, William Thomas, Zachary Emitt; one step-son, Nicody Jay Wright; his parents, Thomas and Anita Phipps; three brothers and four sisters, Thomas (Larisa) Phipps, West Valley City; Ivy Anne (Ronald) Madsen, Salt Lake City; Natalie (John) de la Cruz, Taylorsville; John (Lynn) Phipps, Seattle, Washington; Kenneth Phipps, Salt Lake City; Suzanne Phipps, Salt Lake City; Faith (Eric) Fredgren, Livermore, California. He also leaves six nieces and six nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9, 1998, at 11 a.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call Thursday morning, from 10-11 a.m. or one hour prior to the service. Interment: Fountain Green City Cemetery, 400 North 100 East. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Mortuary.
