Bonneville International Corp. has completed its purchase of KXIV, a Cedar City TV station.
On April 27, the deal to buy the station, formerly KSGI, from Seagull Communications was finished for an undisclosed amount of money."This purchase will strengthen our position in the fast-growing southwest section of Utah," Bonneville President and CEO Bruce T. Reese said. "It will permit us to better serve Cedar City, St. George and other communities in the area."
Bonneville had applied with the FCC for a change to the call letters of KCGS. It expects to have this full-service TV station in operation this summer.
The programming on the station will reflect the family values Bonneville Corp. says are important. It will also center its coverage on Dixie College and Southern Utah University.
