Commercial real estate firm Consolidated Realty Group said Friday it has become a stockholder in Colliers International and will immediately change its name to Colliers CRG.

Colliers is an international commercial real estate with some 215 offices in 47 countries. Salt Lake City-based CRG is one of the largest brokers in the Mountain West. The partnership with Colliers will allow CRG to expand on an international level and access the experience and relationships of some 4,400 real estate professionals worldwide, said William K. Martin, CRG president.

"The Colliers name and logo is recognized throughout the world as being synonymous with consistently superior real estate service," said Martin.

"With the attention that will be focused on Salt Lake City during the 2002 Winter Olympics, we felt it would be beneficial to be associated with a clearly recognizable, international real estate firm."

Colliers is not a franchise operation but is a corporation owned by its member firms. It is structured around a worldwide governing body that is divided into three trading regions: The Americas, Greater Asia and Europe, and the Middle East and Africa.

Founded in 1987, CRG has some 75 employees.
