Southern Utah University's football squad accomplished all of its goals Saturday in a limited scrimmage shortened by a lack of defensive linemen.
Missing three interior linemen due to injury or personal concerns, the Thunderbirds ran slightly more than 40 plays, enough, said coach C. Ray Gregory, "to give the players a good feel, to let them get in there and hit a little in more of a game-type situation. I thought we accomplished all of our goals this morning, the main one being not to get anyone hurt. We aren't deep right now, so we didn't get in a lot of snaps."Southern Utah's annual Red/White game is slated for 6 p.m. Saturday in Eccles Coliseum.
