ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT: Some of the best ultimate teams in the country will begin play today in the annual Daweena Ultimate Tour-na-ment.

Sean Graff, tournament director, said 35 men's and women's teams from the United States and Canada will play in the two-day event. Games will be played at Riverside Park, 711 N. 1400 West.

Ultimate is a game that is growing in popularity and is described as a blend of soccer, football and basketball, played with a special tournament Frisbee.

For information on the ultimate event call 488-1177. There is no charge to watch the games. On Saturday, games will be played between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Sunday, games will start at 9 a.m. with the semifinals scheduled between 2-3 p.m.

DRIVERS SCHOOL: Intermountain Vintage Racing will hold a drivers school and race on Sunday at the Rocky Mountain Raceway, 6555 W. 2100 South.

Pratt Cole, a 1997 national driving champion, will be one of the instructors. The school will consist of three hours of classroom instruction and track time. Cost is $65. For information call 967-7892.
