Police recovered three of five snowmobiles stolen from a Provo business last winter.

The new snowmobiles had never been ridden and were being prepared to rent to customers when they were taken from H & H Rentals, 1475 N. State St., Provo, in early December. Police believe someone cut a chain securing an 18-foot trailer holding the snowmobiles and then drove away with the trailer hitched behind a truck. This week Orem police found three of the snowmobiles in a canal behind a business at 648 S. 1325 West. Police believe they were dumped there sometime last week. The snowmobiles reportedly were recovered without any mileage having been recorded and with only minor damage.

H & H Rentals is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever took the snowmobiles and is hoping to recover the remaining two machines.
