Jack Miles, editor and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "God: A Biography," will present the annual Sterling M. McMurrin Lecture on Religion on Thursday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gould Auditorium of the Marriott Library at the University of Utah.

In "Global Requiem? Religion and the World Ecology Crisis," Miles will address how the environmental movement has changed social, political and scientific schools of thought and the implications for religious doctrine and practice. The lecture is sponsored by the Obert C. and Grace Tanner Humanities Center. The event is free and open to the public.
