Auditions are scheduled for the following stage productions:- "LOVE AND KISSES," Saturday, May 9, fro 1 to 3 p.m. by appointment only at Hale Centre Theatre, 2801 S. Main.

Directed by David Weekes, it will run July 10-Aug. 17. All roles are open and will be double-cast. Needed are four men, ages 18 to 60, and four women, 17 to 60. Scripts will be available at the theater beginning May 4. All cast members will be paid. Call 484-9257 to schedule an audition appointment.

- "ANNE OF GREEN GABLES - A MUSICAL," on May 9 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Midvale City Hall auditorium, 80 E. Center (7720 S. 600 West).

Directed by Kurk Davidson, with musical direction by Tammy Eves, the production will play July 10-25 in the new Midvale City Park Amphitheater.

All roles are open. Needed are men and women of all ages (it would be beneficial for young children who want to be cast if their parents audition as well).

Come prepared with 16 bars of an uptempo song (but no music from "Les Miserables," "Phantom of the Opera" or "The Secret Garden," please). An accompanist will be provided. Taped music will not be permitted.

- "CALAMITY JANE - ALL'S RIOT ON THE WESTERN FRONT," on May 9 from noon to 2 p.m. at Desert Star Playhouse, 4861 S. State, Murray.

Edward J. Gryska is directing the melodrama spoof. Cast members will also perform in the post-show olio revue, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."

There are roles for four men and three women. All auditioners must be at least 18 years of age. Come prepared with a song. An accompanist will be provided. There will also be cold readings from the script. A dance combination may also be taught.

Please bring a current resume and photograph, if possible. All performers will be paid.

- "KISS AND TELL," on Tuesday, May 12, by appointment only at Hale Center Theater Orem (225 W. 400 North).

The F. Hugh Herbert comedy has roles for six men, ages 18 to 65; four women, ages 35 to 60; two young women, 16-18; one teenage boy, 15-17; and one boy, 11 or 12.

There will be cold readings from the script. Call 226-8600 to arrange an audiution time. Play dates are July 9-Aug. 17.

- "THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA," on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 12 and 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at City Rep, 638 S. State.

Adapted for the stage by Nigel James, who will also direct, there are roles for the prince, princess and six other character roles for adults, 18 years of age or older. There are also roles for eight children, from 8 years of age through their teens. Come prepared with a 30-second monologue, preferably one demonstrating comedic body language. Enter the theater through the stage door on the north side of the building. Some roles may be shared by cast members cannot attend all scheduled performances. Adult actors will be paid based on their participation in City Rep's daytime school performances.

The play will have 18 regularly scheduled evening/matinee performances June 20-Sept. 12, plus several additional morning performances for schools field trips. For further information, call 532-6000.
