Dell Junior Brimhall, a loving husband, father and grandfather, age 79, passed away at his home in Monte Vista, Colorado on April 29, 1998, after a valiant battle against cancer.

Born December 4, 1918, in Vernal, Utah, the third son of Jesse T. Brimhall and Veda Collett. Enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1940 and assigned to 20th Pursuit Group Headquarters Squadron. Graduated from Boeing School of Aeronautics Mechanics Division in 1941. Met Viola Bennett while stationed in Wilmington, North Carolina, where they were married on May 16, 1942 and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple January 19, 1943. Dell served his country in the China-Burma-India Theatre of World War II as an aircraft mechanic. He was also an exceptionally skilled automotive mechanic, machinist and welder, and he loved farming, which came natural to him. He had many talents and achievements throughout his life and was an inventor and true "pioneer" in every sense of the word. Always an active member of the LDS Church, holding the office of High Priest, he served the Lord in many callings throughout his life, including Bishop of the Rio Grande Ward in Monte Vista, Colorado, and a full-time mission in North Carolina with Viola. He had a thirst for knowledge and was very teachable. He was an uncommon man, making friends wherever he was and always serving others. He truly loved the Savior and eagerly shared his testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He leaves to his children and grandchildren a great legacy of faith and love. He will be greatly missed until we see him again.Dell is survived by his wife, Viola; and eight children: Michael (Jill), Paul (Cinda), Mark (Lola), Kent (Helle), Janet Siler (R.
