Thomas Crane Pierpont, 63, died suddenly of a heart attack April 27, 1998.

Born April 9, 1935 in Antioch, CA to Ferril Crane and Thomas George Pierpont. He grew up in Provo and Vivian Park, Utah. He was a resident of Parowan, Utah for 15 years.Tom was a truck driver for 42 years. He loved the big trucks and his many friends in the trucking industry. He was an avid reader and always had a book in his hand. He enjoyed his horses, cars, yard work, and kids. He always had time for a friend in need. He was the best jack farmer in Paragonah.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Mortensen; her children, Russell and Leslie Gordon and LueShell; grandchildren, Jossie, Ashley, McKenzie and Whitney; his mother-in-law, Hilma Lamoreaux; his children, Kay Lyn (Bruce) Taylor, Donald Scott Larsen, Russell Pierpont; three grandchildren, Ralph Scott, Ginger Belone, and Pepper Darbro; two great-grandchildren; and a sister Kay (Milt) Kane. Preceded in death by both of his parents.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 2, 1998 at 12 noon in the Parargonah LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Parowan City Cemetery.
