A lone gunman took an undisclosed amount of money from First Security Bank on Tuesday morning.

Two female employees of an armored-car company entered the bank, located at 1135 S. State, about 6:30 a.m. The pair intended to count the night deposits, said Orem Police Lt. Bob Conner. But as they entered the double doors, the women were followed by a man with a handgun. He ordered them to turn over some of the deposits and then locked them between the two sets of doors, Conner said.

Police are searching for a suspect, but a description was unavailable.
