Margaret Virginia Fenton Gardner, 65, died April 27, 1998 at her home in Midway, Utah.
Born August 26, 1932 in Los Angeles, California to Howard Fenton and Virginia Jackson. Married James S. Gardner June 24, 1950 in Los Angeles, CA. Marriage later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.Marge was a convert to the LDS Church in December of 1973. She lived in Los Angeles until 1986 when she moved to Midway. As a small child she performed with the Meglin Kiddies in Hollywood. Marge was an accomplished violinist and was a member of the California Junior Philharmonic Orchestra for many years. Served in many church positions including Relief Society President. Loved genealogy and was most recently Family History Leader in the Midway Third Ward.
Survived by her husband of Midway; children: Jim Gardner, Hawaii; Mike and Wendy Gardner, Farmington, UT; Steve and Dianna Gardner, Alpine, UT; five grandchildren: Sarah Dawn, Jackson Parker, Michael, Reggie and Christopher Gardner; brother, Peter Fenton; and two sisters Pauline Dubois and Elizabeth, all of Washington State.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 2, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Midway Stake Center (165 N. Center). Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Mortuary and Saturday at the church 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Midway Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marge's name to the Humane Society of Utah (4242 S. 300 W., Murray, UT 84107).
