Louise Moss Rohwer, age 65, passed away April 25, 1998, surrounded by family members in a Salt Lake City hospital, as a result of a sudden illness. She lived most of her life with the pain of arthritis, but never complained. She was always looking for the positive and noticed the beauty around her. She supported her family and was excited for their accomplishments, no matter how minor.
Louise was born February 14, 1933, to Jetta (Holbrook) and Carl Evan (Bill) Moss. She lived her life in Bountiful, Utah. She attended Davis High School and the University of Utah. Louise married her sweetheart, Boyd Rohwer, on September 4, 1953, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Louise was service-oriented and compassionate. She devoted her life to her family and to her faith. Louise served in many ways, such as Young Women, Primary, Relief Society, aiding the General Board, and name extraction. She was a member of the Altiora Literary Club and enjoyed those friendships. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to make clothes and crafts for others. She also enjoyed reading and had fun writing poetry. She wrote a beautiful personal history, which she finished the week before she became ill.
Louise was preceded in death by her son, Boyd, Jr.; father, Bill Moss; and brother-in-law, Don Wortley. She is survived by her husband, Boyd Rohwer; her mother, Jetta Moss; and sisters, Jeanene Stringham (Fred), and Mary Ann Wortley (Don). She is also survived by her loving children, Bradford M. and Jamie Rohwer, Annette and Gary Nelson, Shauna Louise and Kyle Dopp, Susan and Kevin Pendlebury of Blackfoot, Idaho; and Stephen M. and Kristin Rohwer. She also left behind 14 (almost 15) grandchildren, who were the joys of her life: Jordan, Faith and Tyler Rohwer; Eric, Matthew, Adam and Michael Nelson; Nathan, Allie Louise, Cameron, and Bradford Dopp; Cheyanne and Jake Pendlebury; and Spencer Rohwer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at 1 p.m. in the Oakhills LDS Chapel, 455 South 1200 East, Bountiful. Friends and family may call at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, on April 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church, one hour prior to services.
