Leonard Kranwinkle, 77, died on April 26, 1998 at the Crosslands Retirement Home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born on April 13, 1998 in Helper, Utah to William and Hazel Bellows Kranwinkle. He graduated from West H High School in 1940. Leonard spent many years with the Union Pacific Railroad where he retired as a railroad engineer. He was an avid bowler. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacists Mate. He served his country in World War II.He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kranwinkle, of Salt Lake City; children, Karren Kraus (Joe), Stockton, Calif.; David (Sandra) Kranwinkle, of Murray, Utah; Lawerence (AnnMarie) Kranwinkle, of Taylorsville; Lyman (Vicki) Kranwinkle, of Riverton, Utah; and long time companion, LaMoyne Beachler and her three daughters, Sally, Connie and Barbara; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; one brother, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
There will be a graveside service held on Friday, May 1, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 So. State, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call at the Mortuary on Friday, May 1, 1998 at 9:30 a.m.
