Byron Thomas Haslam, age 69, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away Saturday, April 25, 1998 from complications of heart surgery.
He was born November 4, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Byron and Elma Nevada Skillicorn Haslam. He married Colleen Anne Clark in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 18, 1949.Byron was in public service for 35 years for the Utah State Health Department. He also served 35 years as an active member of the Rose Park Lion's Club. He spent the last few years as a part time resident of Harrisburg, Utah.
He is survived by his wife; sons and daughter: Randal C. (Karen) Haslam; D. Scott (Judi) Haslam; Craig L. (Diana) Haslam; Connie Haslam (Steve) Marshall; Robert G. (Misti) Haslam; 21 grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor (George) Alm; and Marjorie (Don) Stoker. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Mason.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 1998 at 12 noon in the Rose Park 5th Ward, 1200 North Boy Scout Dr. (1200 W.) Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary (255 South 200 East) and Wednesday 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the Ward. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
