Carnegie Hall has its first artistic adviser, Ara Guzelimian, now artistic administrator of the Aspen Music Festival and School in Colorado. In announcing the appointment Wednesday, Judith Arron, Carnegie's artistic director, said Guzelimian would work closely with her and other executives on program planning, audience education programs like preconcert lectures and symposiums, and on publications to complement Carnegie programs.

Guzelimian, also a writer and critic, was artistic director of the Ojai Festival in California and artistic administrator of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
