James Earl Ray, the confessed assassin of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., is in a coma and may die in a few days, his brother said.
"The doctor, he says it looks real bad," Jerry Ray said by telephone Wednesday from his home in Smartt. "He thinks it could be a few days."Ray, 70, has been in critical condition since being taken to Nashville Memorial Hospital on Monday, but officials there refuse to discuss his situation further.
