Alice Edith Young Huffaker, age 90, died April 22, 1998.
She was born November 4, 1907 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, daughter of Brigham S. Young III and Marie Catherine Jonasson. She was the last surviving great granddaughter of Brigham Young and his first wife, Mary Ann Angel. She lived her childhood in Portland, Oregon and then in the Avenues of Salt Lake City. She married Kenneth Huffaker February 22, 1936. He preceded her in death October 10, 1989. Allie lived her adult life in Magna, Utah. In 1973 she retired from her partnership with her husband as owners of Huffaker Furniture Company.She is survived by her sons, Jay and his wife, Joyce and daughter, Lisl; and Don and his wife, Judy and daughters, Monika and Candace; and grandchildren, Shane, Chris, and Monique.
Graveside services will be held Saturday April 25, 1998, 11 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Dr. A memorial gathering will also be held Sunday April 26, 1998, 1:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph Villa Chapel, 451 East 1940 South, Salt Lake City. Funeral Directors:
