The Utah State University Extension Service and Utah Botanical Gardens will be staging many free public presentations this week during the Earth Day Fair in center court of the Layton Hills Mall.

On Wednesday, April 22, "Landscaping for Wildlife, the Birds, the Bees and Butterflies" will be presented at 7 p.m. by Sue Murphy, a USU master ardener."Poisons in Your Home" will be addressed on Thursday, April 23, 7 p.m. by Joanne Mathis-Ross, USU Extension home economist.

On Friday, April 24, at 7 p.m., "Basic Vegetable Gardening" will be presented by Shawn Olsen, USU Extension agent.

Events will shift into high gear on Saturday, April 25, with four presentations:

11 a.m. - "Lawn Care and Grasscycling," by Don Gruenwald, USU advanced master gardener.

Noon - "Basic Composting,", by Shauna Owens, USU advanced master gardener.

1 p.m. - "Conserving Water in the Landscape," by Owens.

2 p.m. - "Planting a Tree," by Pam Condie, USU Botanical Gardens.
