Armeda Syrett Farnsworth, 82, of St. George, UT, died April 21, 1998, in St. George, UT.

She was born March 15, 1916, in Panguitch to Reuban Carlson and Clara Armeda Excell Syrett. She married LeGrande T. Farnsworth, April 19, 1935, at Rubys Inn, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple, June 7, 1955. Armeda was an active member and temple worker in the LDS Church. She served in civic organizations such as Lady Lions, Daughters of the Utah pioneers (DUP), Republican Womens Group, and Business and Professional Women (BPW).She is survived by her children, LeeAnn (Leon) Hamlin, Rocksboro, North Carolina; Elaine (Thomas) Werner, St. George; Lucille Mendenhall, St. George; Ann Farnsworth, Panguitch; sister-in-law, Jean Syrett, Tropic; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, Bill, Carl, and Richard, parents, Ruby and Minnie, brother, Carl, grandson, Michael Vern Miller, great-grandson, Trevor Merrill Carter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, 1998, at 1 p.m. in the Panguitch 2nd LDS Chapel, 200 N. 400 E., Panguitch, where friends may call on Friday morning, from 11-12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby, Richfield, UT.
