Kyle Andrew Patty was released from this life on Sunday, April 19, 1998.

He was born in Salt Lake City on January 2, 1973. Kyle loved the outdoors. He was always happiest while fishing, snowboarding, skiing, camping, mountain biking and taking his dog, Cinder, for walks.His passion for ice hockey lasted all of his life. He began ice skating when he was in kindergarten and soon evolved into a dedicated and ferocious hockey player. He was voted MVP for the East High Hockey Team in 1991 and named All State the same year. In 1991, he went to Deerwood, Minnesota to play for the Heartland Winterhawks. When he returned to Salt Lake, he coached the East High Hockey Team from 1994-1998. He took pride in their work and accomplishments. He continued to play hockey with various leagues.

He is survived by his mother, Gail Davern and Tim Liddiard, Salt Lake; his father, John Patty and DeAnn Patty, Sacramento, CA; his sisters, Jenny Patty, San Francisco, CA; Joann Patty, Sacramento, CA; Fritha Davern, Salt Lake; his brothers, Luke Flockerzi, Grinnell College, IA; Kevin Patty, Sacramento, CA; Nick Davern, San Jose, CA; his niece, Taya Joy Patty, San Francisco, CA; his uncle, Tom Patty, Marina Del Rey, CA; his grandmother, Dorothea Waters (Nana). He also leaves behind his lifelong friends, Hartley Nez, Tyler Floor, John and Mike Ross. He leaves his dog, Cinder, and cat, Luey, whom he brought home in a little car from Nova Scotia. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Frank Patty, Santa Monica, CA; Cyril Mafeking Evans, London, England; and his grandmother, Joy Patty. He also follows his cat, Ebenezer.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 23, 1998 at 7 p.m. at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East First South, Salt Lake City.
