Mrs. Shirley Pearl Zachrison Jackson passed through the veil on the 17th of April, 1998 after a long battle with cancer. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend.

Shirley Pearl was born March 28, 1921 the first child of Franklin Reuben and Pearl Loraine (Baldwin) Zachrison in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her young sister, Lyle passed away in 1935 at the age of 12 from a heart ailment. Her only brother, Franklin and his wife Lucile currently live in Boise, Idaho. Shirley Pearl was a Wave in the Navy during World War II. She married Leslie Vern Jackson, May 2, 1945 in the Salt Lake City and County Building. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland Temple of the LDS Church.She is survived by her two sons Ronald Vern Jackson, Salt Lake City, and Raymond Leon Jackson, Bountiful.

Shirley was a wonderful mother, giving her time first to her children and then to her church and community. She worked in the Relief Society Organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a chorister and organist for over 60 years. Shirley was an operatic soprano who has sung in many operas starting in the 7th grade which continued until she got married. She then lavished her musical talent on her family.

She is also survived by six granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Her granddaughters through her oldest son are, Mrs. Tyler (Wendy) Elsworth (AZ.), Mrs. Scott (Melanie) Hyde , Mrs. James (Katrina) Endrizzi (AZ.), Mrs. Thomas (Lenora) Stevens , Heather and Nancy Jackson both of AZ.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 23, 1998 at 1:00 pm, at the Kimball Mills Ward house, 650 S. 200 E., Bountiful. A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 22, 1998 at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary from 6-8 p.m. and again at the ward house from 11:45-12:45. Interment-Salt Lake City Cemetery.
