In an effort to expand its role as bankruptcy trustees and examiners, Arthur Andersen has acquired Neilson, Elggren, Durkin & Co., a special accounting and consulting firm founded in Salt Lake City in 1986 and located at 77 W. 200 South.

Neilson specializes in bankruptcies and investigative accounting, litigation and arbitration consulting, and corporate financial restructuring. The 55 professionals in the Salt Lake office will be integrated into Arthur Andersen's economic and financial consulting practice.The Neilson firm was involved in the Bonneville Pacific bankruptcy and has served as trustee in the bankruptcy cases on Bruce McNall, former owner of the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club, and Triad America, the holding company for Adnan Khashoggi.
