The founder of a 9,000-member medical marijuana club is vowing to stay open despite a judge's ruling to close - but he's got a plan he thinks will satisfy the court.
Dennis Peron said Thursday that the Cannabis Cultivators' Club will vacate its Market Street location - for a day."We intend to allow the sheriff to close this club - then we'll re-open the next day as the Cannabis Healing Center," he said.
Peron said the name change, along with a shift in how the club is managed, should be enough to conform to Superior Court Judge David Garcia's Wednesday court order. Still, he resigned as director of the club, saying he wanted to avoid a confrontation.
