No incumbent county officer or legislator was eliminated in the Salt Lake County GOP convention, but some face primaries on June 23. Here are the results of the final balloting. Any candidate with 65 percent of the delegate vote wins the nomination outright, no primary. indicates the person is the incumbent:

County Commission Seat A: Mary Callaghan 64.35 percent; Wendy Smith, 35.72 percent. They have a primary. Charles Waldo is eliminated.County Commission Seat B: Mark Shurtleff, 57.1 percent; Steve Harmsen, 42.87 percent. They have a primary. David Marshall, Paul Walker and Margaret Peterson are eliminated.

Auditor: Craig Sorensen 80 percent; Roy Drew, 20 percent. Sorensen is the nominee.

District Attorney: Mark Griffin, 52.69 percent; Neal Gunnarson 47.31 percent. They have a primary. Robert Howell is eliminated.

Senate District 3: Fred Jones, 71 percent; John Christensen, 29 percent. Jones is the nominee.

Senate District 7: David Buhler 86 percent; Louis Naegle, 14 percent. Buhler is the nominee.

Senate District 9: Steven Poulton 66 percent; Susan Dayton, 25 percent; Art Haddow, 6 percent; Ronald Fullmer, 3 percent. Poulton is the nominee.

Senate District 10: Al Mansell 78 percent; Paul Smith, 22 percent. Mansell is the nominee.

Senate District 12: James Leigh, 69 percent; Marden King, 31 percent. Leigh is the nominee.

House District 22: Dan Cripps, 91 percent; Michael Jensen, 14 percent. Cripps is the nominee.

House District 23: Jack Ellefsen is the nominee. Mark Hansen withdrew.

House District 27: David Burnham, 80 percent; Siddhartha Herdegen, 20 percent. Burnham is the nominee.

House District 30: Paul Mecham, 51 percent; Bryan Irving, 49 percent. They have a primary. Steven Barrowes is eliminated.

House District 31: Verdi White, 78 percent; John Pickering, 15 percent; John Hollingshaus, 7 percent. White is the nominee.

House District 36: Lamont Tyler 95 percent; Calvin Brown, 5 percent. Tyler is the nominee.

House District 37: Ray Short 86 percent; John Gundersen, 14 percent. Short is the nominee.

House District 39: David Zolman 62 percent; Rick Berry, 38 percent. They have a primary.

House District 42: Max Meng, 76 percent; Jim Jeppson, 24 percent. Meng is the nominee.

House District 44: Chad Bennion, 55 percent; Carlton Bowen, 45 percent. They have a primary. Jeffrey McCarth and Raymond Poole were eliminated.

House District 48: Richard Perry, 62 percent; Brigitte Dawson, 38 percent. They have a primary.

House District 50: Lloyd Frandsen 59 percent; Janalee Tobias, 41 percent. They have a primary.

House District 52: Kerry Casady, 56 percent; David Hogue 44 percent. They have a primary. Joe Evans is eliminated.
