The Utah Hogle Zoo and its full-time veterinarian of 15 years have parted ways.

Ross Anderson and his two-person staff left their jobs Monday, said zoo spokesman Andrew Wallace. Wallace wouldn't indicate how the zoo's association with Anderson and his staff was terminated."The zoo is no longer associated with (Anderson)," Wallace said. "It's an internal personnel matter."

Wallace declined to comment on Anderson's job performance. He also declined to divulge the names of the two employees who were on Anderson's staff.

Attempts to reach Anderson were unsuccessful Friday.

The zoo will conduct a nationwide search to find a replacement for Anderson, Wal-lace said. A local veterinarian will takes Anderson's place until the zoo hires a permanent replacement.
