Paintings, pottery and handmade jewelry will be on display as well as for sale this weekend at the 9th Annual "Feed the Hungry, Foster the Arts Festival" at the St. Vincent de Paul/William K. Weigand Resource Center.
The festivities begin Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m. with hosts Scott and Marsha Layden and best-selling author Richard Paul Evans. Pa-trons will have the opportunity to purchase artwork from more than 100 local and regional artists before the artwork goes on display Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets for the Friday night event are $25 per person and are available by calling 977-9119 ext. 250.Tickets for Saturday and Sunday, April 19, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., are $10 per person. Musicians, including members of the Mormon Symphony, will entertain guests throughout the weekend.
The Arts Festival is the largest fund-raising event for the Resource Center. Last year the festival raised more than $41,000 to serve those in need.
