Glenda Jean East Romrell, 47, lost a courageous battle with cancer on April 14, 1998. She is now at rest as a Principal in charge of special little angels, teaching them the camp chicken song.

Glenda was born October 20, 1950 to Glen East and Louise Salisbury East. She graduated from Bountiful High and then University of Utah with a Bachelors and later a Masters Degree. She was a great teacher for 25 years in Granite School District; Redwood, Bennion, Bacchus Elementary, and was an Assistant Principal at Granite Park Junior High. She married Lee T. Romrell, October 9, 1981 in the Salt Lake Temple. Her great joy, besides her family and trips to Yellowstone, was church sports and the Young Women's program. She loved the camps and the friendships of the young women she taught over the years.She is preceded in death by her loving father, Glen, who died of cancer also. She is survived by her caring mother, Louise; sisters, Charlotte and Susan, Bountiful; Alice (Carl) Gallardo, West Haven; brother, Loren (Debi) East, Bountiful. She will be especially missed by her husband, Lee; and her daughters, Loni, Amy, and Emilee; and son, Craig, South Jordan; her stepsons, Greg (Cherrie) Jonas, Bountiful; Don Romrell, West Valley. She leaves behind two grandchildren and lots of nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 18, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Parkway Chapel, 9800 South Dunsinane Dr. (3845 West), South Jordan. Friends may call at Russon Bountiful Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Internment-Bountiful City Cemetery, 200 West 2224 South.
