Robert Haynes Sutton, 80, born in Salt Lake City October 30, 1917 to Earl M. and Mary Ann Haynes Sutton, passed away April 11, 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Dorthea Stevenson and Mary Hansen. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Bernice Boyer Sutton; son, George (Suzan) Sutton; and grandson, Sam; daughter, Shauna (John) Richards; grandchildren, David (Aubrey), Melissa Aimee, Robby; and great-grandson, Kasey; and brother, Earl, all of whom he loved dearly.Robert served in World War II, and after returning home he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, from which he retired. He also taught electronics school and operated his own television repair business for many years. He loved golfing and the years spent with the Holiday Rambler Club traveling all over the country. Robert was an avid gardener and his garden was a show place.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at 1 p.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends may call Monday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 North "N" Street. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Mortuary.
