Patrice Lefebvre had the game-winning goal, 18:33 into the second period, and three assists to lead the Las Vegas Thunder past the Utah Grizzlies 5-3 Friday.

The IHL goalscoring leader recorded assists on the first goals for the Thunder (33-37-10), by Sergei Yerkovich at 5:18 of the first period, Joe Day 3:34 into the second and Jesse Belanger 1:17 later. Ken Quinney capped the win in the third period, with his 34th goal of the season.Kip Miller gave Utah (47-26-8) a short-lived 1-0 lead with a shorthanded goal 4:42 into the game and assisted on second period tallies by Niklas Andersson and Greg Spenrath.

The Grizzlies outshot Las Vegas 41-26, forcing winning goalie Manny Legace to make 38 saves. Jamie Ram stopped 21 as Utah dropped their third in a row heading into the playoffs.

Utah wraps up the regular season Saturday night at Long Beach.

A crowd of 6,369 was on hand at the Thomas & Mack Center for the game.
