British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher wanted a full briefing Thursday on the Moscow summit, including the "atmospherics," from her friend President Reagan during his stopover in London on his way home to Washington, government officials say.
In the afternoon, the president's schedule called for tea at 5 p.m. with Queen Elizabeth II in the Audience Room of Buckingham Palace and then a round of evening talks with Thatcher."It'll be very much de-briefing territory," an official said. "(hatcher) is looking forward to what he has to say right across the board on the summit and to learn of the atmospherics."
Thatcher was host to Gorbachev when he flew to the Washington summit last December.
