James Paul King died April 8, 1998. After a courageous four year battle with leukemia, he bravely surrendered his body to return to his Heavenly Father.

He was born February 26, 1962 in Payson, Utah as "Baby Boy King" to Norma Hall and Leslie R. King. He married his soul mate and best friend Patti Ann (Abele) King on November 28, 1986.He is survived by his devoted wife, Patti; mother, Norma Madsen; brothers, Reed King, Norman (Carma) King, Wayne (Pam) King, Robert (Donetta) King, Charles King; and his sisters, Marilynn (Mike) Erickson and Karen (Ken) Fakler. Also survived by two sons, Jesse and Michael, from a previous marriage. Along with this family he had an extended family in his two dogs, Einstein and Shelby and his million-mile cat "Ziggy".

James graduated from Murray High School in 1980. He was a sheet metal worker for some time, but his greatest joy in life was being self employed driving over the road and polishing his shinny canary yellow Kenworth. Throughout his eight year driving career spanning 38 states he touched many lives with his honesty, humor, bravery and strength. He was a wonderful teacher and a devoted and loyal husband, son, brother and friend. He will be immensely missed by all who came in contact with him.

Funeral service will be held Saturday April 11, 1998 11 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St., where friends may call Sat. one hour prior to service.

Family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Huntsman Cancer Institute at U. of U. Hospital, 15 North 2030 East, Salt Lake City, Ut. 84112.
