Erma Eugenia Turner Eldredge, beloved wife, momma, and grammy, returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, the afternoon of April 4, l998.
She was born October 5, l907 in Murray, Utah, to Joseph Henry Turner and Anna Eugenia Janssen on February 12, 1930, she married her high school sweetheart and true love, Raymond W. Eldredge, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and spent the next 68 years at his side. Erma was a loving wife, mother and skilled homemaker. She was a talented seamstress and was well known for her extraordinary hat making ability. She loved music and shared her sweet voice with others on many occasions. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, she served willingly in many callings including a mission in the Eastern Central States Mission, where her husband presided from l966-69. Though greatly saddened by her passing, we take comfort in the promise of a joyful reunion and the assurance of a glorious resurrection. Until then her legacy of love will continue to warm our hearts and fill our memories.She is survived by her husband; sister, Eva (Ben) Coleman, of Bullhead City, AZ; daughters, Marilyn (David) Maurer, and Nadine (Ron) Chase; eight grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd Turner.
Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m., at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, or before services on Thursday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, l998, at 12 noon at the Murray 23rd Ward Chapel, 755 East Three Fountains Drive, Murray.
